Dropkick Math is proud to announce its partnership with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) as part of Ontario’s Learning Recovery Action Plan for Students. KPRDSB is committed to empowering all of its students with the opportunity for academic success and personal growth.
For the last two years, education in Ontario has been disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has had a negative impact on students’ learning, especially in math. To help address this, Education Minister Stephen Lecce has introduced Ontario’s Learning Recovery Action Plan. This five-point plan includes steps to strengthen learning recovery in mathematics, with the largest provincial investment going towards tutoring supports, summer learning and mental health. This is a positive step forward for the province and will help to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Gap In Learning
The Ontario Government’s Learning Recovery Action Plan, is a wide-ranging program designed to help children who may have experienced gaps in learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of this plan, the government will be providing funding to school boards and district school boards to support the delivery of tutoring services. These services will be available to all children in the province, free of charge, including Dropkick Math Academy. This is a welcome development for parents and educators alike, as it will help to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed in the next school year.
A Unique Approach
Dropkick Math uses a unique approach to learning that has been proven effective in accelerating math proficiency. Our programs provide students with individualized attention and adapts to each student’s individual needs, providing them with the support they need to succeed. Owned and operated by Ontario teachers, Dropkick Math is committed to students’ success in achieving competency in mathematics.
Our programs offer a different solution to hiring a tutor. Through fun and interactive learning, we help children focus on the foundational concepts (number sense, operational sense, algebraic reasoning, and proportional reasoning). These initiatives will help students build confidence in mathematics and succeed academically.
As we begin our partnership with the Kawartha Prine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB), we look forward to helping children return to normalcy in their studies. Our certified Ontario teachers aim to help your child learn the fundamentals and gain the confidence that will translate for years to come. As part of the Learning Recovery Plan, Dropkick Math will be available for student enrollment this year and into the next school year.
