Dropkick Math is working in partnership with the KPRDSB to offer math programming that will not only identify where your child’s strengths and misconceptions are with regards to the 4 identified pillars of math, but will also provide the specialized classes to help deal with those misconceptions and close gaps in learning math that your child may have developed.
Dropkick Math is proud to be working in partnership with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) to offer math help services. Our programs start by identifying your child’s strengths and misconceptions regarding the four identified pillars of math. From there, we provide specialized classes to help deal with those misconceptions and close any gaps in learning that your child may have developed. We believe that all children have the potential to excel in math, and our goal is to help every child reach their full potential!
We offer small group virtual programming with certified Ontario teachers ready to help you and your child fight back against your fear of math. Each of our programs run twice a week for 6 weeks and get to the route of misunderstandings that, if left unchecked, can develop into larger issues that could affect your child’s educational future.

There’s no need to be afraid of math anymore! Our small group virtual programs are led by certified Ontario teachers who want to help you and your child fight back against your math anxiety. Our programs run twice a week for 6 weeks. We address the cause of misunderstandings that, if left unchecked, could develop into larger issues. If not appropriately managed, a gap in learning could affect your child’s educational future.
As part of Ontario’s Learning Recovery Action Plan, we are able to offer FREE programs to all KPRDSB students.
At Dropkick Math Academy, our goal is to help children in grades 4-9 improve their fundamental understandings of the four identified pillars of mathematics while building their confidence and belief in their ability to do mathematics.
We offer six different programs centered on the four pillars of mathematics, which have been identified as the main learning barriers to further success in mathematics. Our programs are taught by Ontario certified math teachers, with small class sizes of up to four students. All classes are conducted in a virtual learning environment.
Programs include the option of just the child participating or the child and a parent working as a team. By including the parent in the learning, we build the capacity of the parent to continue to support their child’s math learning using techniques and strategies used in education today.
Our process begins with your child taking the Early Indicators Assessment, which will help us determine your child’s strengths and misconceptions in math. Based on the results, our math therapists will recommend one of our 6 week programs. Programs run for 1 hour sessions, twice per week for a total of 6 weeks. Classes are scheduled after school, weekday evenings and weekends. Once a program has been determined for your child we will provide you with a schedule of available class times. Upon completion of the program, your child is reassessed to help highlight their learning as well as look for further misconceptions in their math understanding.
The KPRDSB board is covering all the costs related to your student and billing is completed through the board at no cost to you.
