At Dropkick Math Academy, our goal is to help children in grades 4-9 improve their fundamental understanding of the four identified pillars of mathematics while building their confidence and belief in their ability to do mathematics.

We offer eight different programs centered on the four pillars of mathematics, which have been identified as the main learning barriers to further success in mathematics. Our programs are taught by Ontario certified math teachers, with small class sizes of up to four students. All classes are conducted in a virtual learning environment.

Programs include the option of just the child participating or the child and a parent working as a team. By including the parent in the learning, we build the capacity of the parent to continue to support their child’s math learning using techniques and strategies used in education today.

Our process begins with your child taking the Early Indicators Assessment, which will help us determine your child’s strengths and misconceptions in math. Based on the results, our math therapists will recommend one of our 6 week programs. Programs run for 1 hour sessions, twice per week for a total of 6 weeks. Classes are scheduled after school, weekday evenings and weekends. Once a program has been determined for your child, we will provide you with a schedule of available class times. Upon completion of the program, your child is reassessed to help highlight their learning as well as look for further misconceptions in their math understanding.
