Dropkick Math, in Sponsorship
with the BHNCDSB

Dropkick Math is excited to be a sponsor of the BHNCDSB to offer math programming that will help identify your child’s strengths and misconceptions regarding the four pillars of math. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed in math, and we are committed to providing the specialized classes and support that they need to close any gaps in their learning. Our math classes are designed to address each of the four pillars of math, and our certified Ontario teachers will work with your child to identify and overcome any challenges they may be facing. We are confident that our program will make a positive difference in your child’s math skills, and we are eager to help them reach their full potential.

We offer small group virtual programming with certified Ontario teachers ready to help you and your child fight back against your fear of math. Each of our programs run twice a week for 6 weeks (additional summer programs now available) and get to the root of misunderstandings that, if left unchecked, can develop into larger issues that could affect your child’s educational future.

What are you waiting for, sign up today and give math the Dropkick!

At Dropkick Math Academy, our goal is to help children in grades 4-9 improve their fundamental understandings of the four identified pillars of mathematics while building their confidence and belief in their ability to do mathematics.

We offer six different programs centered on the four pillars of mathematics, which have been identified as the main learning barriers to further success in mathematics. Our programs are taught by Ontario certified math teachers, with small class sizes of up to four students. All classes are conducted in a virtual learning environment.

Programs include the option of just the child participating or the child and a parent working as a team. By including the parent in the learning, we build the capacity of the parent to continue to support their child’s math learning using techniques and strategies used in education today.

Our process begins with your child taking the Early Indicators Assessment, which will help us determine your child’s strengths and misconceptions in math. Based on the results, our math therapists will recommend one of our 6 week programs. Programs run for 1 hour sessions, twice per week for a total of 6 weeks. Classes are scheduled after school, weekday evenings and weekends. Once a program has been determined for your child we will provide you with a schedule of available class times. Upon completion of the program, your child is reassessed to help highlight their learning as well as look for further misconceptions in their math understanding.

The BHNCDSB board is covering all the costs related to your student and billing is completed through the board at no cost to you.
